“There were times when we used to feel ashamed of living here especially when our relatives would come to visit us ,we had a challenge of clean water. They would ask for drinking water which we didn’t have because all we had was dirty contaminated water which wasn’t fit for drinking. With support from Mad Tasty in partnership with Drop 4 Drop ,our community Bukonoka village now has a source of clean water. Access to clean water will provide the community with more time to learn for the children ,work and earn more for the community members.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
