“The installation process was successful, and many villagers attended the event. The community expressed its sincere gratitude to Drop4Drop and Levy for providing free access to clean and safe water. For many years, the villagers suffered from water-borne diseases, particularly during the rainy season, and they are hopeful that these challenges will now be a thing of the past.

Many of the villagers are poor and depend on farming for their survival, while others rely on small businesses to earn a living. Schools are located far from the village, causing many children to drop out of school at an early age, and contributing to a high number of early pregnancies among girls.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
