“The pump has been successfully installed in the village of Yankhuntha and is functioning well, offering a reliable source of clean water for the community. The women are particularly pleased, as the pump will ease their daily struggle of walking long distances to fetch water from open wells. Despite this positive change, the village still faces several challenges – including poor road infrastructure and a lack of reliable markets. The villagers remain hopeful and are eager to welcome more development projects to improve their living conditions.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
