“Access to clean water in Jobya 2 village will significantly improve the health of the entire community by reducing waterborne diseases, enhance economic opportunities by freeing people from water collection and illness, boost education by increasing school attendance, empower women and girls by reducing their domestic burdens, and improve child development by mitigating health problems that were a big challenge in this community before. Our community was liberated from the bondage of water borne diseases and poverty that were caused by lack of clean safe water in our community. This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
