“It was a very happy day in the village of Zondo as we installed a pump for the first time. The villagers had long hoped to have a pump in their village, and in the past, lives were lost due to waterborne diseases. They expressed their gratitude for providing them with clean and safe water. The people in the village are hard workers and farmers, eager to welcome more organisations and individuals of goodwill to work in the area, hoping to further uplift their lives.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
