Buyaya 1 Village, Mpigi District, Uganda

“This is a gesture of love and we are very happy that we now have water nearby because we used to suffer braving long distances in search for clean water from the nearby village. We are delighted  for this water source that was constructed in our community. It has reduced the burden of walking long distances in search for clean and safe water. We are so grateful that we can now have clean water at all times” says Namuddu.

Namuddu, Community Member.

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
