“Photos were taken for all the pumps and the surrounding was well cleared. The installation went on well and the people appreciate Wells for Zoё for giving them good and clean water. The water which they were using in the past was not good, now they are happy because they are enjoying good and clean water. The people in the area are hard workers. They grow a lot of cassava and maize for food. They walk long distances to find health facilities because they don’t have one in the area. Secondary school children walk very long distances to learn.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
