‘I am Vani W/o Raja of Velama Kandrigai BC Village privileged to thank and greet NEWS NGO, DROP4DROP, U.K. and donated by BENUGO AND VIRGIN THROUGH PURCHASES OF LIFE WATER, for Sponsoring a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and a 2000 Liters Overhead Tank to our Velama Kandrigai BC Village. We are very happy to say that now we are able to go to our daily labour and concentrate on our work. Earlier we used to walk 2 kilometers to bring the water to our home and most of the time and energy used to get wasted and now, we are able to pay attention on our work. Similarly, our children are getting lots of time to attend to their home works and also to study. The children are able to go to the school on time and also, they are able to take bath and keep themselves clean, wear neat and tidy dress as we are able to wash and also keep them healthy. This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
