“In the past the community had a borehole but it broke some two years ago and they restarted drawing water from swamps and open wells. Now that drop4drop has given them a pump in the area, people are very happy. They have several problems apart from water in particular in connection with a preschool: they have one but it is not operational due to lack of knowledge by the caregivers – they need some training. They also need trees in the area due to deforestation and are willing to learn how to plant them.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
