“I am S.Vinothini D/O Selvam of Sirunambudur SC Village and I’m privileged to thank and greet News NGO, Drop4Drop and Core Force for Sponsoring a deep Borewell fitted with an Electrical Motor and a 2000 Liters Overhead Tank to our Sirunambudur SC village. We are very happy- it was heartbreaking issue as our adolescent girls used to walk long distances to bring water but now we are relieved from such problems and our girl children are not forced to bring water from distant places. They are able to find more time to study and attend to their homework and the children are able to wash their hands and feet and remain fresh and healthy. Time and energy has been saved and the children are able to go to school on time in a hygienic manner. We are now able to use the clean water for all of our needs and our lifestyle is more eased and comfortable. We thank you and NEWS NGO for selecting our village and thanks to CORE FORCE and DROP4DROP, U.K.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
