“We give thanks to those who rehabilitated this well for us, it has really helped us more so during the dry seasons when there is no water around. Before the rehabilitation, during dry seasons, we really suffer a lot and hence appreciate the effort made to rehabilitate this.  We used to move from our homes to far distances in search of water for animals and for our use. Now we can clean ourselves, children alike will be going to school very clean. Asante sana.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
