“My mother used to say that “everyday is the start of something beautiful”. I can now relate to what she meant by that. In all the 48 years of my life, I grew up thinking that stream and pond water was the only water that we could ever use. My son in the city always told me of how water in the city was clean, safe and well packaged in their homes but I thought he was just telling fairy tale lies. Now that I can witness a well with well packaged safe water for our community consumption, I am very happy that I can see something this beautiful in our community. The future for our children looks bright.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
