“The pump installation was well done and many people gathered to witness the installation of the pump. The villagers are happy to have a pump for the first time. Before this pump, the villagers were drawing water from open wells. Many villagers spend their time in crop fields where they grow different kinds of crops. Many children go to school because schools are near. Health facilities are very far and when people get sick they walk long distances to seek medical attention.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
