“They had a Marion pump before but it was broken some two years ago so they had to go back to draw water from streams. When they heard about drop4drop they quickly contacted us for assistance and now we have given them a pump. They are very thankful and wishing us a long leave so that more communities can benefit. The village is near the river and people do farming along the river. Most of them are poor but they are hard workers and they are interested to work with any N.G.O willing to work in the area.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
