“I had been living in this village and had experienced utter scarcity of water and without the adequate water source we were not able to lead the family and most of the time had been wasted in fetching the water from other areas as the old well got damaged and could not be cleaned so the water from the present well was not safe for drinking or for domestic purpose. Now our total community has got a new facility and we shall be using the same and also maintain the unit with utmost care. Our women are happy and also most of the strain has been lessened because of the new facility. We shall be concentrating on the work and also use the time and energy for better purposes.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
