“Before installation of this new drinking water bore-well in our village, we the people of our village were hardly able to go to get water from the 4KM distance where we get the water from a river. The quality of the water brought home was not fit for consumption. As there was no other place to go, all of us were drinking the same which was available and obtainable. Now after installation of this bore-well we are receiving safe and clean water. Many thanks to the kind donor Saskia for helping our community with this clean water source. Now we are able to send our children to school on right time and we the adults are going to our jobs spending more time, earning good income. It is all possible with this bore-well. The hygiene education which is conducting by the health worker in our village is nice and useful. We will maintain this bore-well with utmost care for long period.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
