Jobya Village, Mpigi District, Uganda

“Clean water has always been a precious commodity. For years, many of us in this community have relied on unsafe and often contaminated sources for water, which led to frequent illnesses and hardships. The arrival of clean water in our community has brought about a profound and transformative joy, reshaping our lives and revitalizing our spirits. We are experiencing the joy of having clean water in our community. We no longer have to walk for long distances to get clean water now and there is a reduction in water related illnesses in our community. It’s not just about the water itself but the more numerous positive changes it has brought into our lives. Our community is healthier, happier, and more connected than ever before. In every sip of water, we taste the fruits of Last Night A DJ saved my Life Foundation’s hard work and dedication. Indeed, we are having a Drink on LNADJ and Scott.’’

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
