“Majority of the communities in Uganda have no access to clean water , leading to many illnesses and even deaths amongst the population. Water being at the centre of everything in Bwetyaba 1 village, with a goal to provide clean and safe water in this community. Life water and Soho house constructed a clean source of water for this community. All the water related problems are going to be no more in this community.This community now has adquate and clean water. “Thank you Soho House and Life Water for providing us with clean and safe water in our community.” Says Hadijja.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
