In the course of a lifetime we touch and affect many other lives. Why not decide to significantly affect a thousand lives for the better, and have that as an aim. Touch 1000 Lives exists to discover and support ways that can happen, to show how it is being done by individuals and organisations, and to partner with them to see lives changed.
For the ‘Untouchable’ Soya tribe in India, without money to buy food, it is a daily choice whether to sell a child to child labour or the sex trade. Touch 1000 Lives is committed to doing whatever it takes to make these children safe. The idea is to take the tribe from where they are now, sometimes barely surviving by hunting and sometimes selling children, to a better place where they have diverse streams for food and income, safe drinking water and education for their children. We are partnering with Drop4drop in the drilling of two borewells to supply the village with safe fresh water.
